Contraceptia este un subiect care m-a interesat mereu mai ales ca la un simplu sondaj ai putea descoperi inca femei nu tocmai informate. Sanatatea noastra sta mereu pe ultimul loc. Pentru ca, nu e asa, pana nu ni se intampla ceva rau, nu avem timp pentru amanunte. In capitolul amanunte este inclusa preventia.
Care sunt principalele posibilitati de contraceptie la indemana populatiei din Romania?
Un prim pas sanatos este vizita la medic. Doctor Beatrice Dinulescu, Medic Specialist MF, Competenta Planificare Familiala, Reteaua privata de sanatate REGINA MARIA crede ca exista o multitudine de clasificari. Una dintre acestea le grupeaza in metode hormonale si nehormonale.
Metodele nehormonale includ:
a) Metode naturale – nu necesita dotari suplimentare si se bazeaza pe evidentierea elementului fundamental al fertilitatii, ovulatia si pe evitarea contactelor sexuale in aceasta perioada. In mod traditional, se descriu patru metode: metoda calendarului, metoda temperaturii bazale, metoda ovulatiei si metoda simptotermala.
b) Metode de bariera: prezervativul si metodele locale (sub forma de ovule, foite si creme spermicide). Prezervativul impiedica spermatozoizii sa ajunga in vagin prevenind astfel aparitia unei sarcini. De asemenea, acesta impiedica transmiterea agentilor infectiosi sau virali prevenind infectarea partenerului sexual. Spermicidele sunt substante care distrug spermatozoizii.
c) Dizpozitivul intrauterin (steriletul)este o bucata mica de plastic flexibila prevazuta cu mansoane de cupru si unul sau doua fire care strabat canalul cervical pana in vagin. Actioneaza, in principal, prin producerea unei modificari chimice care dauneaza spermatozoilor si ovulului inainte de a se putea intalni. Este una din cele mai eficiente metode, cu durata lunga de utilizare.
d) Intre metodele nehormonale pot fi amintite si metodele care implica sterilizarea chirurgicala, metode care se adreseaza atat femeilor cat si barbatilor, metode care impun o consiliere foarta laborioasa si complexa.
Informatii corecte despre utilizarea acestor metode pentru a obtine o eficienta maxima sau despre efectele secundare sau beneficiile acestora se pot obtine in deplina intimitate si confidentialitate intr-un cabinet de planificare familiala.
Metodele contraceptive hormonale sunt:
1. pilulele contraceptive;
2. steriletul cu hormoni;
3. inelul intravaginal contraceptiv combinat;
4. contraceptia de urgenta.
Pilulele contraceptive pot fi pilule orale combinate (contin cantitati mici din doi hormoni, un progestativ si un estrogen similari hormonilor progesteron si estrogen din corpul femeii) sau pilule numai cu progestativ. Actioneaza in principal prin oprirea ovulatiei (pentru cele combinate) sau si prin ingrosarea mucusului cervical (pentru cele numai cu progestativ). Eficienta acestor metode depinde de utilizatoare, iar reusita administrarii corecte poate fi deplina daca pilulele sunt recomandate intr-un cabinet medical. Vizita la medic impune o anamneza minutioasa completata de un examen medical care include masurarea greutatii si a tensiunii arteriale, examinarea sanilor.
Importanta este administrarea contraceptivelor orale prin vizite de control care includ si examinari de laborator sau examinari complementare (ginecologice, endocrinologice, dermatologice, daca se impun). Foarte important de retinut este si faptul ca pilulele contraceptive pot fi folosite si ca tratament in dereglari de ciclu menstrual, sindrom premenstrual, chisturi ovariene, acnee si pilozitate in exces.
